The two claw rotors are synchronized by a precision gear. Special seals separate the compression chamber and gear. The sealing area can be pressurized by adding a sealing gas. A gas tight, pressure shock resistant version is also available. A further advantage of the VKL/DKL types 60 to 150 is the overhung rotor design: • no second shaft te B-end • no re-greasing ofo atmosphere • no shaft seal at th bearings • fewer individual parts; easy to assemble • compact design
The claws of the VKL/DKL range have an optimized, high precision shape and turn together without contact, synchronized by the gear. Therefore seal fluid within the compression chamber is not necessary. The compression is achieved dry and wear free. Wear sensitive discharge valves, as in other compressor designs, are not necessary. Compression in the multi-claw rotor is very symmetrical compared with single claw rotor designs. The VKL/DKL range is protected against overload by a safety valve or vacuum regulating/relief valve. All claw units are supplied with a stable, well designed steel cover. This cover enhances the cooling effect as well as providing reduced noise together with the included silencer. |
